These terms cover your purchase and use of Giftaro, a gift card plugin for WooCommerce published by Virtualix Inc. Buying a licence or installing the plugin means you accept them.

1. Who you are contracting with

Giftaro is a product of Virtualix Inc., a company incorporated in Canada. In these terms "we", "us" and "our" mean Virtualix Inc. "You" means the person or business buying or using a licence.

2. What a licence gives you

A Giftaro licence is an annual subscription, not a one-time purchase of software. While it is active you get:

The right to install and run Giftaro on up to the number of production sites in your plan: one site on Single, five on Studio, twenty-five on Agency.
Unlimited staging, development and local sites at no extra cost.
Every plugin update released during your term.
Email support.

The licence is non-exclusive and non-transferable. You may not resell, redistribute or sublicense the plugin, remove or work around its licensing, or run it on more production sites than your plan allows.

3. Price, currency and billing

All prices are in United States dollars (USD), regardless of where you are buying from. Plans are billed yearly in advance.

Single: 79 USD per year, 1 production site
Studio: 149 USD per year, 5 production sites
Agency: 299 USD per year, 25 production sites

Sales tax, VAT or GST may be added at checkout where we are required to collect it. Your bank may apply a currency conversion fee if your card is not denominated in USD. That fee is set by your bank, not by us.

4. Automatic renewal

Your licence renews automatically every year on the anniversary of purchase, at the price listed at that time, charged to the payment method on file, until you cancel.

We email a reminder before each renewal. If the price has changed, the reminder says so, and you can cancel before the renewal date if you do not want to continue.

5. Cancellation

You can cancel at any time, with no cancellation fee, from your licence portal or by emailing hello@giftaro.co. Cancelling stops future renewals.

You keep updates and support until the end of the period you have already paid for. The plugin does not stop working when a licence lapses. Your gift cards, balances and ledger stay exactly as they are, because they live in your own WordPress database. You simply stop receiving updates and support.

6. Refunds

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on first purchases. The full policy, including how renewals and disputes are handled, is on the refunds and cancellation page.

7. Support

Support covers installing Giftaro, configuring it, and diagnosing problems with the plugin itself. We aim to reply within one business day.

Support does not cover custom development, building or fixing your theme, work on your server or hosting, or problems caused by other plugins that we cannot reproduce on a clean installation.

8. Your store and your data

Giftaro runs entirely on your own WordPress installation. Gift card numbers, PINs, balances, ledger entries and your customers' details stay on your server. We do not receive them, store them, or have any way to access them.

The only information we hold is your own account and billing information, which is described in the privacy policy.

9. Third-party requirements

Giftaro requires WordPress and WooCommerce. The point-of-sale features require VitePOS Pro, which is a separate product from a separate vendor that you must license yourself. We are not affiliated with those vendors and are not responsible for changes they make to their products.

10. Acceptable use

Do not use Giftaro to break the law, to issue stored value you are not entitled to issue, or in any way that breaches card network rules.

Gift card regulation is your responsibility. Rules on expiry, fees, disclosure and unclaimed balances differ by country, province and state. Giftaro gives you the tools; making sure how you use them complies with the law where you trade is down to you.

11. Changes to the product

We may add, change or remove features as the product develops. We will not remove a feature we have materially advertised during a term you have already paid for without offering you a pro-rata refund for the remainder of that term.

12. Warranty and liability

Giftaro is provided "as is". We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or free of errors, or that it will meet every requirement of your business.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to Giftaro is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits, lost sales or the value of gift cards issued.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for fraud, or your rights under consumer protection legislation that applies to you.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects your rights we will email active licence holders at least 30 days before it takes effect. The date at the top of this page always shows the current version.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. The courts of that province have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, except where consumer protection law gives you the right to bring a claim where you live.
